Big Shot Die Question
When you emboss with the texturz plate, do you spritz the cardstock you are embossing with water or do you use another piece of cardstock on the platform as a shim to create a more defined effect? I have customers telling me that Scrapadoodle told them to run all their dies through the Big Shot and when it gets to the end, roll it back toward them.

Currently, I spritz the sheet and put in another piece of cardstock as a shim...this makes a huge difference in the depth of the texture...however, I might try just rolling it through twice...thanks for the info!

I've read that instead of using water, use alcohol. I've never tried either, but would opt for rolling it back through. My Big Shot gives a well defined image for all of the texturz without either so far. Thanks for the roll back info Avis. I'll keep that for future reference.

I just use an extra piece of card stock on top and have wonderful results every time. I've never used any liquids at all.
ReplyDeleteI would not recommend rolling the sheet back through again because the card stock slides on the plate as it goes through the Big Shot. Rolling it back through results in two sets of images that are not lined up (and they don't look very good, either!)
