A friend of mine approached me about helping her host a playgroup activity for her mom's group. She was hoping to do something that could be given as a Mother's Day gift and requested a 3-D project of some sort along with a Mother's Day card. The clencher: it needed to be something that a 3-year-old could make with help from his/her mom but that an 8-year-old would enjoy making as well.
I decided to go with a brag book because everyone needs someplace to keep pictures of their adorable little ones! Each book holds 10 photos. The pages inside are made from SU!'s clear translucent envelopes...5 of them in a pile and stuck together by their flaps. The flap on top is then attached to the card stock cover. The brads are of greatest necessity as the flaps, of course, can be pulled apart at any time. I decided to offer the two different covers so they would appeal to parents of both boys and girls, but to keep it simple, the layout is exactly the same. I am allowing each mom in attendance to make a maximum of two sets of projects. Five moms signed up before I even shared a picture of the brag books with them and three others passed along their hopes that we'd offer more classes like this in the future. I'm so excited about the possibilities!
